...Mmm, Raleigh Activators.
A pogo stick with a seat.

A friend of mine bought 2, for his wife and himself. Something to do with "getting fit"...?

They weighed so much he could only just carry them from the car into the garage... where they stayed, like twinned super-massive black holes, dragging in neighboring planets with their enormous combined mass.

I think he rode over a few bumps in the local park once and decided it was best left in the garage or sold ASAP.

Gary Fisher Joshua. Every time I see one I just want to puke.

my zaskar was pap. way too stiff, and didnt handle. oddly, i still have affection for little ones built as hardcore bikes though...

but it was nowhere near as bad as my cannondale 3.0 series which managed to simultaneously be incredibly twitchy AND not want to go round corners

Trek 9000's get an undeserved hard time they are nowhere near as bad to ride as everyone thinks and imho they look great.

Although ive never ridden one, ive always like the look of the 9000 and used to love this advert.

The Trek 9000 was awful to ride . the swingarm moved more from left to right than up and down , it was trully awfull .

The hate list so far based on more than one comment :-

Muddy Fox Rock'N'Roll
Trek 9000
Trek Y-Frames/Gary Fisher Joshua and its derivatives
Raleigh Activator II
Klein Mantra

Hmmmmmmm the really bad bikes seem to be mainly early full sussers

What else, there has got to be more, be good to have a vote off of at least 10 poor excuses for mountain bikes

Remember we're only talking about the big boys ie. those companies with enough in their R&D budget to avoid producing a howler that nonetheless still do !

Love to see one of those Trek 9000's someday even if folk aint feeling the love ;)

Here is the one I built up last year.

After reading my build thread again whilst looking for this photo I'm a bit gutted I sold it. God, I spent hours cleaning and polishing the frame back to its former glory.

Hey ho, I'm sure Longy will do it proud.

Klein Mantra was a pile of shite. Looked kinda cool but rode so bad. Brake jack was the worst thing- you brake, the front dives and the back end pumped up. Just what you want when decending.
