If I get rid of innertubes what will I use for a belt?
or for that matter the strap on my bag?

Gone tubeless on my MTB for the first time this year and have to say I’m impressed. Set up was no worse than fitting an inner tube, tyres hold air well. Lower tyre pressures are a revelation. Is it worth the money? Possibly not, but what is these days?

Any recommendations for sealant to go in retro 'tubeless', I.E. Wolber Tubeless tyres from turn of the 90s

Any idea what they actually used?
