Yes pre 1970 was in black and white.

I do it for the nostalgia. My Dad is into classic motorbikes. I used to be into cars, but they take up so much space. 1 car only just fits in a single garage, but I've got about 7 bikes & still room to spare.

A hobby like no other. Endless combinations of set up's to try according to terrain, weather and distance. Lots of nice, interesting bits to collect via. a decent jumble scene and the endless chase of bargains online. Good excuse to get oily and/or muddy, some excellent literature to read in bed. Etc. Etc.

Most critically, theres always a joyous bike ride to be planned and executed (I spend half my life looking at maps).

All for pocket money (mostly).

All of the above, my wife loves riding as well. We've seen some beautiful parts of England.
