Why do you collect retro bikes?

I have owned a number of GT's over the course of time.
1992 GT Timberline (both green and Daktari white.
1992 GT Pantera AL (red)
1993 GT Zaskar custom build
1993 GT Performer BMX
1994 GT racing BMX (possibly a Mach One, Interceptor or other racing model (no model name decals on frame)
2001 Gt iDrive 6.0
2001 GT iDrive 4.0
Currently own:
1998 GT Tempest
1999 GT Tequesta
2011 GT Zaskar Sport
I like GT bikes the most although I have owned many other brands too😁
Just added another 1992 GT Pantera AL in red to my collection!

Thank you!
It's a 1990 Centurion Stratos. I got it for cheap bu the Suntour shifters and brakes where broken so I rebuilt it as a singlespeed. Love the colors and the frame is also pretty stiff and not to heavy but it has not very much tire clearance.

Integrated shark fin on the chainstay...never seen this but lovely detail...looks an amazing frame. Very nice details like top tube seat tube enforcement...

The ad graphic design and layout reminds me of some late 80s diamondback material - could be the same agency, or maybe the style was typical in the mtb press?

Today is going to be interesting, severe weather warning of heavy rainfall with up to 150l/m² and at the end we have 350m elevation gain on just under 5km.
But it will be worth it.
Post some pics if you can please!

Also what bike are you using for the tour?
