I just noticed on recent posts this year that there is a few motocycling race fans on retrobike and wondered who is your favourite riders whether it's current motogp or past history riders

All time favourite rider is Kevin Schwantz '93 World Champion, and also liked Alex Criville, '99 World Champion

Current Motogp riders is Jorge Lorenzo and Nicky Hayden

Who do you like?

Youv'e just got to love Rossi-1 for his achievements and 1 for his personality but has never been my favourite due to the fact that i prefer Max Biaggi who never really made it at the top due to Rossi being so good ! Biaggi on the 250's was unstoppable but i think hung around for to long before moving to 500's .

Current time and my favourite - Rossi, you're looking at a legend. These are the great days. In the past Doohan, Rainey, Schwantz all spring to mind.

Biaggi? He's a good rider but can't stand the chiwawa loving faggot. ;)

Going back to when I was a wee lad.....

Wayne Rainey
Kevin Schwantz
Carl Fogarty
Jamie Whitham
Nori Haga
Troy Bayliss
Vale

P.s. The greatest race ever? - The last round of the 2002 WSB - Troy Bayliss vs Colin Edwards, simply stunning racing

Was always happy to pay money to see Frankie ride - too much passion on two wheels for his own good, perhaps?!!!

Only one candidate for me, British Lion Dave Thorpe. 3 times world 500cc mx champion back in 85, 86 and 89.

.

In decending order; Doohan, Fast Freddie Spencer, Norike Abe, Loris Capirossi(The only rider who I genuinely believe would kill you to win), Jamie Whitman(Very nice man), Troy Corser(Mr Smooth)and Jorge Lorenzo, because everyone loves a crasher :D
Only rider i didn't like was Alex Crivielle, if he hadn't have had Doohan to tow him round he'd have done f*ck all

Old School guys--Giacomo Agostini and Kenny Roberts, and who could forget John Surtees and Mike Hailwood?

Norifumi Abe,a great rider to watch, absolutley appalling at quaifying but nearly always top 3 into the first corner. His last GP victory at Suzuka was class.

RIP.
