Re:

A hung parliament is a hung parliament...the Tories didn't win, if they did they wouldn't need to get into bed with loyalist terrorists.

May is still PM. More seats. More votes.

Shabby as ****.

And for one who was so vociferous about the linking of Corbyn to terrorist sympathies you're quite happy to throw worse accusations the other way. I think we can all see who the hypocrites are here.

Well it seems you can be arsed with "terrorist sympathising bollocks" when it suits you, no?

A hung parliament does not equal a draw, were it so then Corbyn and May would be joint prime minister, can you tell me who is actually the Prime Minister please?

Is the situation ideal? no, but then it is what it is.The party who had the most votes has it's leader as Prime Minister. You may not like that but it is the fact of the matter.

Re:

Straight up I was not going to pay. Hung Parliament is the result of the election. May didn't win she had more MPs but not enough to win a majority which is how you win an election. Didn't think there would be any argument tbh (let alone questioning of my character!). Anyway found this:

Labour vs Conservative (ie whichever leaders)

I wonder who'll be leading Tories at next election?
The bet is on Corbyn, it's a Corbyn thread.

If he wins the GE and become PM (I can't believe I'm typing that) £50 to your charity. If he loses the opposite. I'll be fair and say if he bails beforehand it's off. Really shouldn't as Labour have voted for him to contest it.

The last paragraph is from Tecnodup and says PM so thats the bet.

Re:

There's such a big difference between onow the one hand being a key component in the negotiation and dialogue between waring factions (and winning coveted international peace awards for it), and on the other, cosying up to the Saudi royals/govt and genuine NI nutjobs

We are now in proper dark, scary, uncharted territory

Are you trolling KDM? Cant believe you are saying this seriously. The Tories and the RW media were the ones criticising Corbyn for meeting terrorists and being a terrorist sympathiser! Its hypocrisy on their part to deal with the DUP. Pointing to hypocrisy is not hypocrisy.

No trolling at all. I was pointing out that when you say this is not acceptable then pointing it out is just that, if you then go onto do it yourself as harry had, then that is hypocrisy

Let me help, "Corbyn has aligned himself with terrorists for years" this is a truthfull statement but if you are not happy with it then saying so is pointing it out as you have worded it

To write
Harryburgundy wrote:

and then follow it up quite soon after with

Would be and is, hypocrisy

As to May not winning, who is sitting in the Prime Minister's chair this evening? May did win, she did win by a healthy majority, she needed a larger majority but that has now been achieved. May was the Prime Minister yesterday, she is also Prime Minister today. None of what I have just written is incorrect.

The winner becomes PM, the rest is semantics. Winner takes all.

Anyway, I have learned two things.

1. £50 to the animals, 21 SNP bawbags gone and a Tory in No.10 is a decent return on an otherwise disappointing night.
2. I'm really not a betting man. Never have been, and only took this because I thought it was nailed on. Very nearly wasn't though. I think that's the end of my gambling experiment.
