My point is, if they lose, then part of it will be by being tainted goods and as we know once a brand is damaged in that way, something has to change and that is why should he lose, some new blood is a must.

They can go down the democrats way of blaming the opposition, it's Trumps fault, it's the russians fault, it's the hackers fault or they can act like grown ups and say, why didn't we get as many votes as we needed?

Possibly Corbyn is the last of the old leftist Michael Foot, Tony Benn generation left and this will be their last throw of the dice, should they fail then yes, a new course must be looked at with actual Labour heartlands brought back into the party rather than hipsters in London.

Yes he's proved he can lose an election the same as Miliband, but he's done it with a proper left of centre manifesto. Not Milibands "stand as close to the Tories as possible and try to look more pretty" shite.

So a lefty guy loses on a lefty manifesto. The obvious answer to that problem (for it's twice in a row, Miliband's was painted as such even if the substance wasn't as far as Corbyn) is to move to the centre.

Which is precisely how the next Labour leadership battle will be fought. Whoever they can find (and get the nominations) to be continuity Corbyn , a Blairite type and likely a compromise candidate like Watson (who's currently conspicuous by his absence).

ANY moron (even in Labour) can see that lefty manifestos don't win elections. You'd think at some point someone might realise this pretty simple fact. And in fairness most of the PLP do. Question is can they force the party at large to follow them towards electoral success, or do the grass roots consider honourable failure as sufficient.

I suspect Brexit will be the major factor. If the Tories play it well (or spin it well) Labour are pumped. If they are seen to mess it up it will open a door.

Frankly I'd prefer another Scottish leader. It would help put Sturgeon in her place. Just under someone's shoe.

MORONS generally don't know what left, centralist or right wing politics are, they just believe the banal and biased headlines of a few newspapers. Even Corbyn's 'loony lefty' manifesto is fairly mainstream as judged against other European countries.
The narrative used to describe Corbyns proposals is really bloody pathetic and a sad indictment of the average level of political knowledge held by most in this country.

No it was a simple who would win the next election. You might be thinking of the caveat that if he's not leader bet is void. I dont mind giving £50 to charity.

Remains to be seen who wins the election. From the polls it looks like May will get a 100 seat majority. I think anything close to 50 and she looks like a prat. Near current majority and she's gone.
