Cheers Exbiker, you've just reminded me of Stan (R.Hanley) of Wideopen passing his cycling proficiency test at the school open day on his GT Pro Performer. No certificate but it was a proud day for the BMX "geeks" as the crowd gave him a round of applause when he completed the course hand signals and forced stops included! Innocent times eh?...try telling the kids today and they'd knife you, film it, put it on the net and laugh at it with their mates over a Vietnamese deathblunt or something....
Me too, start of my life of cycling. Brings back memories of illicit quarter pipes and ramps made from any old crap, deathtrap mechanics, endlessly swapping bits, epic journeys to jumps and ramps and pouring over magazines.
can manual woops etc on trails and tracks (bmx background)but cant pedal wheelie for more than 10ish metres, its the only thing i really really would love to do good
