What's in the box redux - Another blummin' bontrager

I’ve got a steel Little Nick bar on my commuter and it’s very comfortable, a nice amount of sweep and pretty wide. I also like the look of the Gettin’ Hungry stems.

Ah, but you're putting proper effort in, I'm just throwing money at a frame and then throwing whatever I've got in the parts bin at it.

I'll wait a while until the memory of the credit card bill fades, and then track down some more bling bits. I like the look of some of the SIM works finishing kit.
SIM works? What's that? I'm either not familiar or the acronym isn't clicking with my daft brain.

Some of it is really nice, some of it is a little too whimsical (?) for my tastes.

I did just get a swept back riser bar from them, thinking I'd run it on an old bike. But it felt just way too wide and drew too much attention to the front end.

Didn't feel balanced as a whole, either aesthically or in the saddle.

I seem to like it on others bikes, but not my own!

I do plan to use the bar on a beater/commuter some ways down the line tho...

Some progress in this. Got some lovely xtr v brakes, so now it's in a rideable condition.

Some titec hellbent DH bars on the way, and then I think I'll stop spending for a while, while deciding which tyres to go for.

Spec is m9000 drivetrain, m951 brakes, and some xt levers. Eventually I'll replace those with dune m95x versions.

Final touches - some nice xtr levers.
I'm in love with this bike, just took it on a 25 mile trip into Manchester, mix of road, mtb trails at Philips park, bridleway & canal and it's just so responsive and poppy.

Then I had to spoil it by going roadie
