Show us your expedition bike

I love seeing pictures of this bike, the frame is similar to my own so I enjoy seeing what mine could be like if built in a similar way
I've changed it slightly since that pic was taken. I wasn't happy with the braking, or the DT gear levers (I'm sure reaching them wasn't as hard 20 years ago as it is now...)
So I tried some sensah 7 speed shift/brake levers. They actually feel very good and have a nice shift action, but I couldn't get used to the "one lever for shifting both ways and braking" setup. Plus I still wasn't convinced by them with cantis. So I swapped the fork to a surly disc fork and fitted a trp Hy/rd caliper. Magura disc hub and the original D521 so I can swap to rim brakes if I want. Still wasn't convinced, and yes I was using jagwire compressionless cables. So, back to bar end shifters, with tektro drop bar v brake levers, a BB7 on the front and XT V on the rear. Apart from the black non-matching fork, I think I'm happy with it now!

I had a Fairlight Faran 1 for a while which I converted to flat bars. Comfortable but dead ride until I swapped the fork for a Cotic RB2 or 3.
I just found my 90's MTB's were as versatile but more fun to ride so sold it. The cable discs never impressed either.
