2nd bike? I bought 2 bikes at the same time, my very first and the other one.
I went for the Muddy Fox Courier Comp but ended up with a Muddy Fox Alu Team Pro as well so this had to be my 2nd bike (i'm not sure but i think it was in '86 or '87).

And yes, both of them are still mine. As are all the others since then

First bike was a Muddy Fox Courier.
Second was Saracen, But can't remember the name. Think it was a pro comp XC but can't find any referance to it. It was an alu E stay with Marzocci air oil forks, all bay mine were silver (mine was had an Orange frame) Cost me £1250 back in 1991!
Third was a Filli Flyer (to replcae a the broken frame on above), then was stolen.
Then a Cannondale M600 (still got it)
And now have a Cannondalesuper V SL (love it dearly) and also found a Dawes the edge that needed a good home (left by a tenant).
Anyone know what my Saracen would of been?? I'm sure I've got a pic somewhere.

Just been doing some diggin on the site and my second bike was an Orange Framed Saracen Conquest Competition Hydrotech.
OMG I lived that bike!!!!!! what I'd do to have it back now :cry: :cry:

Hmmmm.... It was a mix and match Falcon Mountain Bike !! Bought form Halfords back in the day when they sold the odd second hand steed !! £60 I paid and it was great !! Reynolds 531 frame, campag groupset and a multitude of odds and sods !!! Miss that bike ...... Thieving ar**holes !!!!

Does a Mustang count as a mountain bike? If so, the '89 Lava Dome was my second. Loved that bike, but rode it into the ground. The frame was totally shot when I finally went for my '94 Team Marin, my second 'propper' bike.

Wheeler 5900. Lots of big, fat, alloy tubes. Local distributor was trying to establish the brand locally, so stupid cheap for the spec. My main ride for years until I bent a seat stay in a 'bit' of a crash a couple of years ago. Straightened it back up, but I cannot bring myself to trust it from not failing and it now lives out it's days strapped to the mag trainer.
