What teas are we drinking?

Milk in the cup first if the tea is made in the pot, like my gran always said too, I won't argue with that, and you can taste the difference for sure.
Milk first in a mug with a teabag then hot water just means piss weak tea, may aswell save the cost of teabags and drink watered down warm milk :p

Pour in the boiling water immediately. If the water is allowed to cool, it is less effective in releasing the chemicals in the tea leaves.

Yours is hitting the milk and cooling before it can brew the leaves in the bag.

Agreed.

To get proper tea you have to let the bag steep in the water for 3-5 minutes and then add the milk. ;)

It's kind of gross if you already have milk in the mug before you steep the tea bag. It makes the tea bag unusable (yes, yes, I reuse tea bags) and it looks all milky and yucky after you take it out of the water. But that's just me.

Another vote for Yorkshire or Co-Op 99 (I think I prefer 99 now actually - only started getting it because Yorkshire was hard to find here.)

And always loose tea, always. Tea made with teabags never tastes as good; there is definitely a noticeable difference in taste between Yorkshire tea made with teabags and Yorkshire made using a strainer (or infuser pot).

A touch of milk is nice, but never under any circumstances whatsoever allow sugar to pollute the tea (where's the puke emoticon again?!)
