I've always been a coffee drinker - real coffee, none of this soy latte bollocks.....
However i've seen the light

What is best and why

I drink lots of tea. Just plain tea, none of that fruity flavour stuff and no so called health tea that supposedly make you immortal. Just regular tea with a fair ammount of sugar and most of the time I also add milk.
Coffee I don't drink however, never 'learned' to drink it.

" Builders' "
" Super Strong "
" MAN'S Tea "

It's all Assam by another name. Trust me. Assam is like PG Tips ON STEROIDS!

Assam is good for strength, I like strength.

Usually go for Tetley extra Strong or M&S Extra Strong.

Best I ever had was some limited edition wartime commemorative NAAFI tea.
The stuff that kept bomber crews and convoy sailors awake and alert, you could stand a spoon in it without it touching the sides

Alternatively some stewed tea, the tea boiled up with the water.

Finally try some Masala tea, what they drink in india, basically strong tea blended with spices such as cinamon. Good restorative qualities post ride especially if brewed with hot milk and sugar just like the indians prefer it ;)

'm a yorkshire tea man too. not too strong, not too weak, not too much milk. no sugar thanks

The usual suspects such as PG etc are blends of different Tea's, so it's not quite plain Tea :p

The tea used in PG tips is imported in bulk as single estate teas from around the world and blended in precise proportions set by the tea tasters to make blend 777, which can contain between 12 and 35 single estate teas at any one time (depending on season, etc.) at the Trafford Park factory in Manchester.

Twining everyday tea is hard to beat as an all-rounder, Yorkshire Tea is good too.

Sometimes when the mood takes me then Ceylon tea boiled up strong in a pot on the log burner and then watered down to taste is nice

I gave up sugar in Tea too, much nicer now although you could never tell me that before! Also a fan of proper coffee, Spanish style is the best.
