What puts you off a bike/frame?

I agree. That's why I bought the 29er. If you're over about 6'3" then no matter how well built the frame, most 26" wheeled mountain bikes made me look like this...

Black wall tyres on retro bikes. So many good builds ruined by bad tyre selection.

Retro bikes = skin/amber wall tyres for me. Rule #1!
