What modern bike for £3-400?

Can he not get his employer to sign up to cycle to work, he would get twice as much for the same money.

look at bikes , take somone with you who knows whats good for the money
shops first then internet, you will be ok purchasing online from a good place
its a hell of a lot cheaper that way and it will be your choice
delivery will be tracked , they will update you by e mail & tell you when it will be delivered
bought mine this way

Thanks, but if you read my original post the bike isn't for me, it's for a colleague. I generally know my way around a bike, but I haven't much experience of buying modern bikes in the £3-400 range.

Cycle to work, wish our employer was signed up to it, I'd be looking for a modern bike as well Bloody Uk Government :x
