What brakes and where do i buy ???

GUYS calm down, the Hardrock in questions an early 90's job !

We haven't even established what size the steerer tube is let alone whether it can take a 3-4" travel fork or discs

Infact enough with the discs, it probably is not easily possible :?

Not being a bike snob about it, but why spend a lotta dosh on it?

Sensible upgrade from what it would have had would be some LX canti's with decent blocks (winwood polymers? i know where there's a bag full ;) ), a good recabling and setting up right. 10 mins with a mavic rim rubber wouldn't go a miss either..

If you really want to advance it, LX V's, but then you could run into lever/ shifter trouble

Old LX the m600 ones,[ not the parallel push versions ]are very good,

My favorite V is the m600 , I still have one I bought new in 98 , brilliantly simple and look good polished up .
