What are your project plans for 2012?

I need to finish the GT Borrego I have all the parts ready to fit but I’m toying with giving it a new DIY paint job, something I have never done before. :shock:

I would also like to get my hands on something with an elevated chainstay, just because I really like the look of them.

Looking at the 2011 thread I said "Do something with the Orange 'O' and finish the Tufftrax + get to more retro meets. Not a lot else planned for now".

Well.... The 'O' went without being touched. The Tufftrax was finished but quickly moved on only to be replaced by another a week later that I still have. Failed on the retro rides, only made the Cake Run + the first Settle trip

I bought a GT Zaskar 14.5" a couple of weeks ago just sourcing a few more parts, I'm going to build it over the next few weeks, can't wait!

I was tempted to set myself a challenge of not taking on any new projects next year...we'll see though!

Looking at last year's thread, I appear to have achieved few of the goals I set myself.
Of course several other things have cropped up in the meantime too. So perhaps I need to concentrate on finishing off more builds before starting more new ones.

A quick survey reveals 11 complete bikes, another 3 which are almost there and another 10 which are ongoing.

Hopefully I'll be getting a workshop unit in the near future so I can concentrate on these and other bike related projects.
That and loads of riding too.

Ive got two really. Getting the DR project going (things are arriving....) and maybe loooking at one of the 856s by the end of the year. That's if I don't pick up anything else in that time.

However my wifes "projects" for me are two bathrooms and a utility room refurb. I know what I would enjoy more

My plan for the first quarter is to finally get my P7 resprayed and built up for singlespeed duties. It's only been about two years in the making!

In 2012 I would like to;

finish my merlin
finish my steel s-works
finish my wicked
finish my peugeot team

buy a nice retro roadbike (koga pro, gazelle champion mondial, specialized epic)

entr the world of mtb racing again, but now on a retro ride!

And I'll be organizing the first dutch retro ride in 2012, with a lap on the '91 grundig world cup course! Hopefully accompanied by at least one of the racers from back then...

and go up the mont ventoux to raise money for energy4all!
