Vulcan at Farnborough!!

It flew over our house VERY low a couple of times during Farnborough week. The chickens have now stopped laying!

I grew up about three miles from Woodford Aerodrome. You could hear the ground-based engine tests quite clearly.

Great engenering, and havign sat in one there was not a lot of room for any one. But at the end of the day it was there for one reason and one reson only To kill lots of people indiscriminatly.

Quite.

My uncle was ground crew on Vulcans before I was born so my Gran always used to talk about them. Beautiful machine. Horrible idea.

seen her fly at waddington this year, made my skin tingle to hear the 4 olympus engines again, last seen at finingly about 89/90.
Truely amazing piece of british engineering.

When I was a kid remember seeing a Vulcan with Lightning escorts fly over central London.
Must have been some sort of royal occasion flypast, just recall how noisy it was, looked up and saw this fantastic looking aeroplane

Bit like when you heard the roar of engines and knew it was Concord, another beautiful flying machine

The same Vulcan was obviously at Leuchars air show this Sunday as it flew over my house heading south early this afternoon

Victor is my preference, they looked well sci fi to me but Vulcan well cool as well, remind me of a giant jet powered moth
