id like voodoo, mainly for the frame. if anyone in staffs area is willing to collect and box up, i will arrange a courier.

for the hassle, you can keep the btwin, although that is probably more of a disincentive so you can strip parts of the voodoo or i'll sort you some beer tokens :)

Don't use eBay then - eBay *is* a bidding war!

I've told the seller the VooDoo is valuable, so I hope he will let the auction run and not accept some lowball offer in the meantime. I personally don't make lowball offers, but I know some on here do.

Anthony , just how valuable have you told him it is    :D
No, I didn't mention a figure - that would be most of the way towards making an offer, and I would prefer to see a proper auction.

Don't get me wrong, I don't see anything amiss in making a fair offer to stop an auction early, but it isn't clear whether the seller knows much about bikes and if not, and if he was conned into accepting £200 or something silly like that, it would be a bit dishonest in my opinion.

I asked him whether he would be willing to box it for a courier to pick it up, but he hasn't replied yet. I'm about 200 miles further away from it than you are - it's just down the road from you, isn't it?

yup, it's just down the road.

the Btwin looks barely used, but a brand new one just sold for£50, but would off set some of the cost if i win.

Still i would be surprised if it made £200

frame looks tidy enough, few worrying marks on the driveside chainstay perhaps.

it may also be a teeny bit small, 18.5 is perfect for me in voodoo.

but then i think my modernish wanga is 17 and thats ok

i agree, i dont think 200 is silly at all. the btwin is just extra hassle to drag away, ive seen bizango frames go for around 100 in the past, and the rest is just some worn out xt/lx kit.

tbh if anything i reckon hes gone quiet cos hes starting to think hes got some treasure on his hands, probably thinking of ending early so he can try for a big bin price.
