Agree - it's that kind of accessory which just got unbolted one day, thrown to the back of the garage waiting for a spring clean and then off to the tip. Guess we need to remind ourselves too that selling cast off stuff back then was either word of mouth, wait for a street flea market, or a local ad in the local newspaper.

Got to give it to the guy who did that restoration - the child seat, shellac on the cloth bar tape, red frame just oozes quality and a keen eye.

Yes, well done but not over restored. Most parts you see mirror polished were never finished like that originally. I wonder how comfortable shellac tape is to ride on though.
