I think it's a 1997 Backwoods.
The 'Heat treated 7000 series aluminum' decal is blue and I believe these matched the colour of the downtube GT logo. Only 97 Backwoods had blue decals. The yellow 18" sticker is late 90s Carratti Sport era.
It will be ball burnished which must means they put it in a big metal vat with a zillion ball bearings. This is like gently hammering the whole surface of the frame and gives a really tough and shiny finish. A lot of owners clear-coated them so they didn't have to keep polishing them.
97 Catalogue will give you original spec, but looks like coming along nicely.
