1991/1992 GT Zaskar (completed)

That's ok. You have to take care of the details. The saddle is a good detail
I think I have the Syncros vectorized files, in case you want to make the new vinyls (although I don't know if I have the "wheel").
By the way, could you tell me a product to darken the leather of a saddle? It's green and I want it darker. They told me that with oil, but I don't know if it would work.
New decals would be nice, thank you so much!

As for the product, I used Coconix's Leather Recoloring Balm from Amazon. I've used it a couple of times in the past with great results. I'm sure there are other similar products to this one.

Crap, now I want to get a Zaskar too. Problem, there's a ball burnished Avalanche for sale locally with the same top tube brace as this Zaskar, so before 1994 I think when they went with the gusset under the bottom tube. But no funds :) I had one of those Avalanches in 1994? before I went to Proflex 856 (which was rubbish) and then back to GT for a '96 Zaskar.

Today I went to an upholsterer to consult with him since the saddle is NOS and I'm afraid of ruining it. He told me that it would be difficult to change the color since it is already dyed.
So I was looking at your recommendation on Amazon and I think I will dare to buy it and use it, and it also has a good price.

I got extremely lucky and found a perfect donor bike for the rest of the parts I needed (wheels and Deore XT U-Brake essentially). Although, calling this bike a "donor bike" is insulting it since it is a model equally worthy of being restored than my Zaskar! It will probably be my next big project; I'll keep it a secret until I start it later this year 😉

And thus, I was able to finish this project faster than I expected. I am extremely glad of the final result; it doesn't look like the same bike from a few months ago!

Looks great, but your chain could do with a few more links and the rear mech 'B' tension screw needs to be wound in a bit. 👍
