At the risk of sounding out of step, I was always a big fan of coloured tyres. Green Wildgrippers used to look great. I have some pink tyres under the bed and spotted some blue ones on eBay the other day, which were nice.

I (strangely?) tend to use the tyres that do their job best, not for their aesthetic qualities. As modern tyres are far better than most tyres ever were BITD, and as most modern tyres are blackwall then there's your answer as far as I'm concerned .
