"10 great bike design" that had impact on the MTB genere

4. Yeti FRO
5. Yeti C-26

Remember, both of these bikes were simply copies of other designs with slight changes and Yeti decals on them.

Yes I agree, but Mongoose or other established BMX/Cruiser brands never managed to pick up what JP/CH/FTW did. And yeti was and still is the benchmark/iconic/myth brand bike name.

Remember - there are two kind of mountainbikers, they who have and those who wish they have a Yeti.... Moha ha ha ha

From a marketing standpoint, yes.

I tried to import a C-4 once from the states. NOS.

Never got past customs for some reason and I've never been allowed into Israel ever since.

Still don't know why.

i know its been said before, but the rc100, was IMO a real groundbreaking bike, with the square tubing, 1 piece stem steerer, bullseye cranks, looks as good today as ever. but then i am slightly biased.
and of course the klein dolomite paint job.

would haveto be the schwinn ecxelsior x the bike gary and joe road down mt tam to completely change cycling as they knew it. then cannondale for amazing me with the first fat frame i saw and loved then fisher pro cal for inventing a bike that felt so alive. but for innovation and inspiration? ithas to be pace :D

Kirk Precision - for its cast magnesium frame
Kestrel - for innovation in carbon fibre
Mantis (Cunningham) - for the X frame, ECR, and Flying V
Geoff Apps - Highpath/Cleland

then Trimble and Slingshot as others have said
