Today's Ride

Yesterday evening, after a solid grey day, with thick mist (almost fog on top of the moor, visibility down to 20'ish metres), the clouds slowly began to break. Mild, very damp.

This morning, mild 12 degrees. Very damp, 12mph SW breeze. Clear skies but a lot of moisture in the air hence the camera couldn't capture the sharpness of the moon as it set.

Pretty neat watching it drop below Sancreed Beacon...whilst some cars reversed back up the road 🤣

Lovely day here with strong sunshine and very little wind. Took off on the old warhorse to retrace some of the routes I've been avoiding since last year's crash.

While no Strava records were broken, I was quite pleased that despite recent on-again off-again riding, I was still able to handle the few climbs and undulations. And it was good to get some time on the gravel roads again, overcoming some of the jitters associated with that particular surface.

Coming back, I stopped at some roadworks for the punningest photo I've yet managed.

30km, 272m elevation. Rather chuffed to be back on the local roads.
