Today-Monday-After 100 F. temperatures here over the weekend, when I didn't ride and hung out in the shade mostly-It's 25 degrees cooler today, about 75 F. All this due to a blanket of fog that came in off the ocean and covered the Bay. An easy 800' climb to the West of town today...
Well, i am feeling a bit better since my accident a couple of years ago so i have started to try to get out a bit more and am starting to be able to ride a bit farther so can venture off the bike tracks ive been riding recently
Today i explored a track i have never rode before, well, i have on my KTM but only from the other direction and not this section as its barriered off, climbing up onto Rowsley moor above Rowsley. I coped fairly well despite being passed by two road bikes up the track, with road tyres on too, and only stopped once to pretend to let a walker past
Not today, but a week or so ago. After our appearance in Nottingham and on our way to Scunthorpe, Joe Breeze and I hit the trails of the Sherwood Forest Mountain Bike Park.
Not hilly like it is at home, but you could fly on the singletrack. We got a call for a photo to accompany the Sports Illustrated article, so here it is. You may recognize my jersey.
Today-Friday- A hot weekend coming up, with about 88 F. on this afternoon's ride, and perhaps hotter tomorrow. A nice climb to the West of town today...
