Today's Ride

41 miles round trip today, mostly greenway, with some diversions to the beach
brought the floppy disk camera out




the cooling tower right next to the path is nice, the base produces a lot of cool mist

Just ace this morning, even though it was chilly: 10-12 degrees, 10-12 NWN breeze, high broken cloud.

That was one of the best morning rides I've had, and there're usually pretty awesome anyway. Absolutely beautiful out there today after yesterdays deluge of rain. High cloud, chill in the air - 11 degrees, very light E breeze - 3-4 mph, and up until the last stretch, barely anyone out there. In fact the biggest risk was getting poked by a cows horn, who'd ventured onto the road edge for some delicious looking brambles.

A short trip in to Norfolk for todays ride, was surprisingly warm. Unfortunately had a minor off, some of the tracks have ruts that tramline you, catch the side and with my skills means I’m suddenly on the floor!

It was a beautiful late summer afternoon today. Even the fairly strong headwind on the last long climb wasn't enough to dampen the spirits when you've got these sort of views.

But all in all it was a nice ride this afternoon.
