Out here in the provinces we like to keep our finger on the pulse, and make informed decisions based on detailed thorough research...View attachment 854827
The world keeps on turning and we will try our hardest to make it stop.

Was out for over 2hrs and Google Fit reckons I managed 2.3 miles. In which case Google Fit can go **** itself, and has since been uninstalled. Cool when I set off. Warm when I returned.
That's probably about right with the photo stops (very good ones) lol

Some stunning architecture and photography!!!
Thank you mate, the upper Danube valley is really beautiful and always worth a trip.
We travelled from the source of the Danube in Donaueschingen to Sigmaringen and chose Wildenstein Castle as one of the places to stay overnight. As we had the children with us, we only did short stages so that they didn't lose interest.

Happy world bicycle day! (although it's world bicycle day every day ;) )

You wouldn't know from this yesterday morning that an hour later it was solid blue skies and glorious sunshine, and in the afternoon, 20 degrees! The one day of summer arrived 🤣

Had an hour off at lunchtime -- was a bit indecisive about riding because on the one hand, it was cold and a bit windy, but on the other, it wasn't raining and the sun was coming out.

On the basis that there are a couple of heavy work days ahead, though, I headed out to the usual dirt roads and forestry badlands outside town. The wind wasn't strong but continuous -- a bit like riding through a steady stream of cold water. Took it easy and went a bit further than usual, encountering some very wet, clayey mud well churned by forestry vehicles, followed by wet river sand -- the combination of which clagged up the tread of the tyres completely. But the sun broke through and I encountered a squad of kangaroos bounding along near the river.

20km, 262m climbing, in just over an hour.
