Today's Ride

Thick cloud, damp, 10-13 mph S/SW breeze, felt about 13/14. After yesterdays washout and overnight rain, thankfully there was a break this morning early doors. The universe came into play with a bee flying into my helmet at Sancreed, stinging my big bonce. That break whilst I made sure they'd left meant I avoided a bell-end driving way too fast on the single track road into St Buryan.

Apart from the drama, a lovely ride. It felt a bit like the calm before the school holiday storm...(this is over at Sennen looking north east)

Whoa there, I have to make my own way, you say?

My health has not been the same since the first Covid infection. The first time was nearly two years ago, and I continue to struggle with fatigue. As much as I'm fighting to increase my fitness, there are continual reminders that I'm not the 150 mile a week rider I was.

Adding a 12 mile ride into my regular day equals wiped out by 7pm.

The other rides logged here recently are few because they will consume most of my energy for the day. More often than not I will need to sleep them off to recover.

However, today I conspired to commute to the office by bike. In between light showers, it was a lovely day. The fact that I could ride to work made my day.

TPT to Sprotbrough and back.

Keep at it mate, don't stop pedaling.

The calm after a very changeable week of sharp showers, strong winds and a shed load of people for the Lafrowda festival.

This morning, 15 degrees, felt like 13, 10-12 W breeze, mix of blue skies and high cloud with some very small but heavy showers, that created some cracking rainbows throughout the ride around the peninsula. Good to stretch the legs before the drive up to Bristol for Men I Trust tonight.
