Ah ha! I see now, they sure built em sturdy! Certainly got lots of options.. a little twin wheel trailer for trekking and wild camping would look neat. Its a bare bones 1937 Fleetwood Supreme. I would eventually like to find something from the time period to pull the stays together maybe a reflector or rear fender.

this isnt a million miles from me. is there a carpark close by?Another beautiful day today so me and a mate opted for an early drive up to Gisburn forest (trail centre). Was mega peaceful - just birdsong - and the trails were running bone dry and fast; hard going on a hardtail down the black runs but I've still got the skills . I forget how much I love cutting into berms at the limit of the tyres, so it's nice to have a refresh on this 'genre' of mtb-ing at a purpose-built place.
Not many photos as was too busy riding!!

Love Rockhoppers. My '97 is still one of my favourite rides of all time, though it sports a P2 and a fair bit of modern components, but the frame is definitely one of my favourites.Took the Rockhopper out again today, it's successfully made it into the 'keep' section.
Tomorrow it's the Explosifs turn to convince me.View attachment 621334
I'm out of breath looking at that hill mate. Luckily as a devout overweight singlespeeder, I'd know my limits and accept that as an appropriate time to hike.Typically dark and dank BH Monday morning ride. At least there was zero breeze, at a balmy 9 degrees, wet roads after overnight rain (long overdue), thick cloud. Of course it was wall to wall blue skies by 14:00!
To cap it off, whilst I stopped for a quick breather at Bottoms (!) looking at the cheeky 12% out, I heard the unmistakeable hissing sound from the rear tyre. I wouldn't mind so much but I was planning to fit new tyres later that morning (which I did)
But as ever, any day in the saddle is a good day!

Thanks for the info joe.Yeh, parking is fairly abundant. There are 2 car parks, we parked in the largest "Gisburn Hub" one adjacent to the Cafe, and the start of the trails, but there is another one a couple of 100 yards back which is also connected to the trail.
