Today's Ride

Re:

Happy foggy Friday!

Chilly 4 degrees, rising to about 5. Very still and by the time I took this photo after 08:00, the sky was poking through. Now at 09:30'ish, we've got that wonderful layer of broken cotton wool cloud. Lovely stuff. Trails are damp but the mud is slowly disappearing. Still, it's amazing how much slower it is with all that extra rolling resistance.

Rocking the 96/97 jacket with modern day Kona merino wool leggings and under jersey. Whoever found out and manufactured merino wool so it doesn't feel like wearing your nan's knitting needs a medal. Amazing stuff that keeps you toasty but lets out enough heat so you don't sweat. It's modern day tech I endorse!

Re:

Grazing bulls or ox, to be precise. Quite unusual around here. Some cows, here and there, sheep are more common.

It's time for fenders and lights again.

Re:

Gotta get those rides in whilst the light is holding on...

Very mild 13 and staying at that by 08:15, still, bit damp, very busy roads. So much for a lock-down which let's face it, in comparison to the spring, isn't. Another token shot at Greenwich. The light was too good to ignore.

A 2011 Lupine Betty 6 on the bike (2000 Ln ..Upgraded 8.7Ah battery from mtb-batteries) ... it just goes for hours!!
On the lid is a small Sanguan Thumb ( 800 Ln .. Ugraded two cell to a four cell 8.7Ah which sits in my back pack)

They both out-last me on rides in darkness

Slightly mild 11 rising to 12 by 08:30, damp after yesterday evenings showers. Tiny breeze, high cloud with a glimpse of sunshine.

Come for a ride on the Malvern Hills, we have roaming Belted Galloways and Aberdeen Angus along with the sheep, in gated, fenced zones.
It's like Jurassic Park!

Sounds great!

It's easy to forget, I was standing less than 4 miles from the M25 when I took that pic.
