We have quite a few bridges around the Bay. That one is called the Carquinez Bridge-it is in the Northeast corner of SF Bay. The other bridge you are used to seeing in my pics is called the Richmond Bridge, which crosses from Richmond in the East Bay, to Marin. Besides the Golden Gate Bridge, there are also the Bay Bridge and two more bridges spanning the South Bay to the peninsula South of SF...
 
is the bridge that partly collapsed in a quake one of those?
Mate of mine was staying in Oakland, while on a motorbike buying trip and he had just driven over
the bridge when the quake occurred;-)

The Bay Bridge, which crosses Treasure Island in the middle of the Bay, between Oakland and SF. One section of the top deck of the bridge collapsed during the big earthquake in 1989. It has since been rebuilt with a new, single deck span on the Oakland side of Treasure Island-here's a pic of the new Eastern Span...

Today-Wednesday-We got out for a ride up to the West of town today. Warm, about 72 F. Found a really big mushroom and generally enjoyed ourselves, as we are supposed to get the resumption of El Nino with 10 days of on and off rainstorms, starting tomorrow...

Today-Monday-Man, after lots of rain in the last 5 days, it got sunny today and about 64 F. We climbed about 900' to Tamarancho-hung out for awhile, then back down. All the feeder streams are flowing with runoff water in the hills, but not too muddy-just a little on the open flat bits at the top of the hills...
