Titanium Raleigh Frame

Shame about the frame. But I'm not sure I could ride a frame that has come 'unglueed'. if it could be repaired.
Good luck looking for a replacement.

.. Because of a few examples that failed, these frames have had a bad rap, but most were ok I think, and they rode quite nicely. ...

I know I've seen it happen to one of the frames, met a few people since then who also had friends bikes it happened to.. (quite a common bike). So more than a few, but probably in the scheme of the mass produced bikes it's not a very high %*.

*Probably equivelant to the % of people who road them on something more than on a bumpy track

Did these come with 1 inch headsets? I would have thought frames of this age would be the standard 1-1/8?

Will that glue really work?, any particular ways that the frame should be prepared prior to bonding?

glue will work, cleanin up the inside of the lug will be harder, but not impossible.

It was unglued before it was assembled - how is repairing it any different to how it was when new?

Using a very fine wet & dry should clean up the joints prior to jointing,it will also key the surface for good adhesion.
Dont blow the dust out using you mouth this will introduce moisture to the bond,,if you dont own a compressor, cans of spray dry air are available for only a couple of pounds.
I would also think that the lug / tube joint fitting sould be very tight before you put the glue on.
When you add the glue ,it will act as a lube and help the tubes slide in.
