Built with Shimano XTR M900 rear hub and a Ritchey Vantage rim.

This was my second DD, built by my dealer back in 1994. I rode it then, and now take dust in a box since more than 16/17 years!

Not really, no holes. Just a bit dirty inside... But that's the major problem for all the Pro version!
Oh yes just a small hole to place the inflator adapter! It's Greg Herbold himself who gave me this solution while discussing on a French World Cup DH race!

What's the tape for, around the ventile hole?

This one was one of the first version. And there wasn't any protection around the ventile hole. It was just to prevent any damage in this area!
