The other "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread for 98

I have a 2013 Pipedream Sirius 853 in dark red with X-Fusion forks and dropper post, XT 2 x 10 drivetrain and 650B Hope/Stans wheels set up tubeless. It has a Hope stem, headset, skewers and hubs, Renthal bar, Specialized saddle and brand new Shimano chain and cassette. It hasn't had an awful lot of use sadly but was stored in a damp shed for a while so has some corrosion in areas, I imagine the fork and dropper post would benefit from a service.

Whats it likely to be worth complete? Wondering whether to sell as I just don't use it or take it apart to store it in the hope my son gets into MTBs when he's older and we can go out together (not that I don't have other bikes, this is my only modern one though).

Going to be pretty tough sell in today's market to be honest. Newer Pipedream frames are only reaching £300 max on eBay and they are boost spaced, thru axle. Spec is very of it's time and (no offence) no much of it is useful for a modern build. Can't see you getting more than £400 for it.

Thanks, about what I thought, it wasn't the most modern kit when it was new cos I'm retro, certainly the standard quick release wheels and 2 x 10 drivetrain makes it seem ancient now. I may disassemble it and put it to the back of the loft for a day when I can use it in anger(ish) again, I did enjoy riding it long ago.

Only issue I can foresee down the line is the forks. I’m assuming the frame has a straight 1 1/8th head tube? Getting decent forks for these is already tough and only going to get worse. Spares to service older forks may also be an issue.

Your frame and hubs would take 11 speed if you wanted to modernise at a later date. Parts for that are getting cheaper all the time.
