Well if thats all i think I'll keep it! what saddle would be more in keeping with the saracen then?

I don't think he was saying that the saddle was inappropriate for the bike, just that is has some value on it's own and that the bike would be worth the same resale value even if you just throw on some generic saddle for the sale.

Yep. If you sell the saracen you would get about £120 with or without the turbo, so might as well replace it with whatever you can find cheap or have hanging around. Turbo's are worth £25ish on their own in good condition.

Keep the saracen. It's nice.

This protrax sold for best offer, imagine I wasn't too far out on my £120, and this has original forks and Z3s: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Saracen-Protr ... 7675.l2557

Think its decided, gonna keep it and give it an overhaul over xmas.
Strip and clean up/polish
Charge Splashback 2.1's
Flite titanium saddle
New decals from Gil

Good man.

Splashbacks are cheap on ebay, £25 ish a pair usually. Not great in the mud or wet though!

I've just seen a 1992 Kona Lavadome go for £1020 on ebay. Does that seem a ridiculous price to anyone else? The bike seems to be in near mint condition and is entirely original according to the description.

Am I missing something? I'm just getting back into bikes after 15-16 years out, so I'm the first to admit that my finger isn't exactly on the pulse... but 1 grand for a Lavadome???

Also, as an aside, isn't that the 93 paintjob rather than 92?

Correct on both accounts :D It is a 93 and also a ridiculous price for such a bike. Shill bidding is probably the reason (there's a thread on this one in the ebay watch section

OK thanks for confirming that gents.

I had it on my watch list for a few days and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the final price

I've got a 91 that I am really hoping to restore but I'm also currently engaged in a war of attrition with the missus regarding storage space so I'm reluctantly keeping an eye on how much they're going for

XTR 950 hubs laced into MAVIC 521 Ceramic rims...........I bought these a long time ago to use on my 99 Kona Explosif as I thought the grey rims and hubs would look good with the bike, but I'm thinking the rim looks too wide for the slim tubing of the frame and they have sat around since.

They are in good condition, the ceramic has worn on the braking surface of the rear and a couple of decals are missing from the rims. They are smooth, straight and true though. Which bring me to the question....what are they worth?

Hi!

I want to sell my Trek Y33 Competition Elite 1996 Frameset.

It has the Original good working Strata Shock Stratos oil damper with lock on.

Size is M.

The bushes and BB Thread is in great condition.
The carbon Y part has no dents, cracks or holes. Just the usual paint/decal wear.
The aluminium is also in good condition without damage.

How much can you advise for the price?

Best Regards
