The one and only "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread

Not strictly MTB but I've accidentally posted this in the wrong section of Roadies area so no doubt they'll be whipping me with their vintage lyrca shortly. Besides, a CX bike might be as close as you MTBers want to get to a racer.

OK people, I have seven bike hooks and eight bikes - something has to give. Seeing as I am unlikely to enter a cyclocross race, and even less likely to finish one, how much do you think I should put this up for?

Brief specs

Frame & Forks: Venom Racing Cycles. (I don't know anything about the company but assume they're British). 531 frame, the chrome is in great condition but the paint hasn't fared so well; quite a few battle scars but no rust or dents. Really nice unicrown forks. I *think* it's a 54cm.

105 front hub on new black rim, s/s spokes
Sora rear hub on black rim, s/s spokes
New Schwalbe tyres
XT rear mech
Custom front crankset: Sugino Mity 900 with Biopace rings (36/46 I think)
Mavic front mech
105 7-speed shifters/brake levers (recon'd)
Deda bars (modern)
No name seatpost (modern)
Ritchey saddle (modern)
Shimano (XT?) front cantis
Suntour 'Energiser' rear cantis
Some chain or other (new)
LX pedals

Any ideas?

Hi All, looking to sell my 1996 Bontrager Privateer frame (size L) with Marzocchi Z3 forks (2001 model, 1 inch steerer conversion by Windwave), headset (1 inch FSA OrbitXtreme), seatpost (Suntour XC Pro 27.0) & Salsa seat clamp; everything else is going on it's replacement

The frame was originally green, but I had it powder coated red years ago, decals aren't correct for the model, but were the only ones which Gil did at the time, decals are in good condition, the top tube one is showing some wear from cable rub, the only area on the frame which has any significant cable rub is on the head tube as seen in the last photo. Suggestions on price / value! Thanks

Jonnyboy666 has one for sale (without forks) for £120 and that's not yet sold, so imagine with the forks about £150-175

His for sale thread for comparison:

wheels probably 80 to 100 as the rims aren't the most desirable and the hubs are prone to cracking\splitting. try here for a ton and see what happens

what is a Ritchey Force Lite stem 1" tig welded with a cable hanger worth? It's pretty short and has a good amount of rise? The finish appear to be more of a colored metal as apposed to paint. It is black. and from 89. The cable hanger was bent but I straightened it without any apparent consequence.

Just out of curiosty really,
As per the picture its a 1995 Saracen Protrax, running all original STX RC components apart from new correct era Deore DX STi shifters. (still have the original STX units. Runs perfectly and only a little bit of cable wear on the frame and light peeling on the protrax sticker on one side. Currently on continental road tyres. Done very little mileage from new, hence all original components (still got original Ritchey grips too!)

Probably £120 ish for the pro-trax, even though its mint. Better off pulling the turbo off and selling that for £25 though as it doesnt add to the price of the saracen as such.
