Was over the chase the over week when bumped into some of you. It was first time in years i had seen a FAT! very nice too!

You bumped into Neil aka Mr Kawasaki and his 89 Alien and Max aka Retroking and his second bike of the day, the Shockabilly-no-mates.

We were there as part of a larger group in the morning session and were only too glad to have converted you back to the old school! You missed two other Fats, a Zaskar, a Kona, an early Pace and a Trimble - of all things! You can check our photos of the day in the Gallery section of the site.

Look forward to welcoming you on a proper ride with a proper bike next time! ;)

Neil

PS. JV - do we get an introduction fee or summat??!!

New member

Could not believe this site when i found it yesterday. Everything i was interested in ten years ago brought back to life, brilliant site and some of the pictures of members bikes are fantastic- Breezers, Bontragers etc.
Just started getting back into cycling and finding that it is impossible to buy bikes or frames from the likes of Ritchey or Fat Chance et al. Too much competition from the mass production companies i guess which is sad.
I own a Roberts Team DOGS BOLX in the black and white colourway. Bought it in 94 and i have still to find a fault with it (which is what you want from British craftmanship).
Cheers.

Can we have pics of your B.O.L.X please?

Hello everybody,

new foreigner again, hope you will approve my asylum application.
Great site!! visited it quite some times, so thought I'd sign up,
hope I can give some worthy input and post a lot of stupid questions.

I always had some 'classic' (or just old) mountainbikes, I just love
all the things that were tried over the years to improve the mtb.
I study Industrial Design Engineering so that's why I like all the
innovativity in mountainbiking even if there were less succesful
occassions. But since last week I have the Klein and thought it
was time to sign up here.

Of course you want to know the bikes:
1991 Klein Attitude (team colors, 1992 XTR)
1992 Cannondale delta V1000 (completely stock)
1993 Rudy Project (like the ironhorse from elev12k, but even
more anodized purple)
1994 Cadex full carbon Pro (tioga disc, XTR TI mag21)
1994? Rafty Funel (in early nineties colors and with 1992 XT)

And then some bikes that are almost classic but just
used every day
1993 Trek 8700 with 1996 XT and 1998 SID
1998 Giant MCM D900 team (yeah that one with too many curves)
1999 Intense M1 (my Downhillbike with all parts from '99 / '00, still
I rode the national championship on it this year)

And now the most shocking: They are all in a student digs / room
of 25 squarmetres.

Photos will come as soon as I found how the uploadingstuff works here

Even more ano purple :? Maybe because there is no purple in my Verlicchi! Come on, show us!

Rafty: True Dutch Cult

Wytze, for pics you can also use www.photobucket.com or www.flickr.com. Stuff like imageshack s*cks. Personally I do not have a problem with nice big pics btw ;)

...oh and uhh, welcome!

Thanks Melvin,

ok ok just more Ano-parts then, but you defenitly have a much nicer setup
with the complete Sachs-group! For the bikes I ride in bikeparks and stuff I
really prefer SRAM above shimano, I am curious how the old Quarz is in
comparison with the old shimano.

I've put some more pics in the users gallery.
