Re: the beginning of Demon number 2

Will she be making an appearance at the Bespoked show in london or will that be a bit soon?
Any clues to frame colour in light of the red bits? :D

Re: the beginning of Demon number 2

might be ready for then but not there at the show, i don't think Tom is showing there this year as i think he's judging the comps

anyway, another pic for you :D

Re: the beginning of Demon number 2

i gave Tom a brief of what i wanted, same as before, i find the best way to deal with frame builders like Tom (who in my opinion are artists) is to give them creative choice, by this i mean the bike has to do what it is designed to do, so geometry, size, braze on's, cable placement etc i tend to be specific about as they come into the function of the bike, the look of the bike however i leave to Tom and i feel i get a better product as a result. he does however check with me on things to make sure i am happy with what he is doing, but there is also communication regarding some things when there is an element of unknown at which point we work it out between us with a bit of a discussion to work out the best way to go.

i'd highly recommend that if you ever get a custom frame built that you chat to the builder and see if you get on with him, understanding each other i think is a great way to get the best product from that builder but also give them as much time as they need, sounds dumb but i am not desperate for this bike, i have plenty of stuff in the garage to ride and that means i can be very patient and i think that helps, not only that, things change, with my mtb build for example, if it had been a year down the road i probably would have gone 650b instead of 26", the industry can affect your choices .

:)

Looks like you have some sort of Inca/Aztec theme going on.
A gold frame with jade highlights perchance?

Re: the beginning of Demon number 2

I think rising sun might be the theme...

Seems appropriate given the new start :D

Re: the beginning of Demon number 2

the rising sun style is something Tom likes, it's an extension of his logo aswel
