TDF 2016

Alaphilippe and Tony Martin gave the breakaway a good try today but got caught with 20km to go. Rui Costa gave it a cheeky go but in the end it was a bunch sprint and Sagan got it from Kristoff by the smallest of margins. I just wonder if he had shorter hair if he would go faster.

I'd be sort of surprised if that happens but considering recent events I suppose its a distinct possibility.

If I had to spend 3days dragging myself over the Alps I'd quit too
it cost me good money to spend a week hauling lard over the Alps. He's getting paid to do it.

Seriously, I don't think he has an Olympic gold (correct me here??), so that's an ambition. Plus there's far more British public acclaim by him doing something in Rio than on the champs elyses

No correction needed He's always wanted an olympic gold and it was one of his 3 goals for this year I just hope after bowing out early he gets it.
I may do one climb in the Alps but a week of it never I like riding my bike but I'm not a masochist

Re: Tour de Froome 2016

The subject says it all I guess. Hiding out above the skies in the Andes didn't do no one no good.

I think Quintana's only here to make up the numbers the way he's just got dropped says it's Froomes to lose this year. I wonder if Porte hadn't of had his issues if he would of been Froomes nearest contender. Adam Yates performance looks like it may just earn him 2nd place on the podium.

I wish I knew what if felt like to accelerate up hill like Ilnur Zakarin the guy just took off I'm always amazed by their talents even though I know they train so hard.
