I know of black, silver and grey.

Was there ever a blueish grey? Or was those just poor colour shots of the grey that I've seen?

Didn't know they did the Judy colour, unofficial I assume ?

They did white, in the turn of the 90's as it came on a rocky mountain. Don't know if that was an official (read retail) colour though.
and of course black was gloss to start with untill they turned cheap with the matt black finish ;)

I thought the grey was a grey hinted with blue colour? to blend in with XTR sort of ?

is there really a hint of blue? i picked up a NOS thinking there was from the pics, but when it arrived, it's just speckled grey to me. so i'm curious if there was two greys out there.

Don't forget Judy Red and Yellow in the mid 90s

I remember the red it was to signify the DH specific cattleprod and then later a generic colour option.

However I don't remember yellow.

Would love an original short red one....

I assume that's into the modern era when they turned to the err slightly ugly hinge design ?
Though the 1997 catalogue when the DH model and hinges introduced it says its polished (I think that's what it's saying)

The DH front hub was red the year before ?

No idea on the grey and grey hinted blue part. I remember and orange bike getting built up and a mention of a slight blue hint that went well with XTR (probably m900 xtr)

I don't know if those questions are to me. The red DH was originally a really short (90mm) high rise approx 20 degrees maybe stem for when the DH Judy came out. It had no hinge and was still a cattle prod.

Then riser bars came out and most couldn't fit through so they added the hinge and then didn't need the super high rise so I guess the red (and maybe yellow) became standard Judy matching options.

No idea about a DH hub.

The yellow ones I have seen were on high end GTs

It was about 96 and the GT importers were changing, I thing GT may have been just bought by Schwinn?

This is where old age and gaps in memory come in, GT had bought Syncros but were also using Kore and I think some stock was being used up here and there. The bikes equiped with Judy SLs had colour coded stems.

I could be talking total bollocks, but thats how I remember it
