Stuck seatpost. And I mean stuck!

OK, I'm ordering more sodium hydroxide off ebay and I'm going to use a 20% solution and leave it in a week! last chance saloon.

I do love my cromega and would love to keep it. Thinking of rewarding it by having it powder coated some nice colour if it co-operates.
 
I used household ammonia when my set post was seized in my Klein frame. Dripped it in and left it all weekend.

It still took loads of effort but it came out.
 
You'd be better off replacing the Sodium Hydroxide every day.
With that amount of aluminium in contact with it it will lose strength quickly.

As above, ammonia dissolves aluminium oxide well. Assuming it can get to it, and that that's the problem and not rust from the steel frame!
