Stripped down my old Saracen - now with LOTS of pics!

Been in the garage this afternoon tinkering with our various bikes.

Decided to strip down the Saracen to sell of the old LX groupset.

After taking everything off the frame (except the crankset as I need a tool to do that), I was shocked at how light the actual frame was.

Its a ProTrax SE Tange Chromoly frameset - circa 1995ish.

Also the RockShox Judy XC felt lighter than I expected too.

Gonna spend a bit of time cleaning all the components, may even strip down the forks too, and then take some pics and list them for sale.

I love stripping!

i had a protrax se it was kinda purpley colour with full LX groupset had V brakes i think that was a 97 i was still at school...it was pretty light i remember it was a nice bike

I chose the factory option of RockShox Judy XC forks rather than the rigid ones.

My wife used it up last year, before we got her a new bike.

Still in good shape now!

what are you doing with the frame? would you consider selling the whole lot? i might be interested if you are

Well it has no use at the moment...

... is in lots of pieces though!

Would need new cables, and probably new headset - but other than that all working.
