Stem/bar help plz guys

Hi guys just picked up a 99 cannondale, not into mtb at all (bmx lifer ) I also collect mid school bmx and I'm very fussy about keeping things era right anyway this cannondale the bars feel really low and narrow is there anything from 99-2000 that I can use to raise it up a bit really don't want to go down buying new products any help?

Nothing can be done, best you can do is cut your losses. I am a generous kind of guy happy to help out a down on his luck BMX'r, I will take it off your hands ;).

I don't think a shorter 60 or 80mm stem with a set of risers would look out of place.

I recently fitted a modern set of 680mm risers and a shorter 80mm stem to my 90s MTB because I found that the bike just felt odd after riding my others with wider bars. It's in no way period correct, but the whole bike is a bit of a mix and match and I don't think they look too out of place. I chose a set with a minimum of lairy graphics and I removed some of the printing on the stem with some acetone; it originally looked like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KALLOY-UNO-80 ... I had the Volvo Team edition one of these and hated that long stem. I swapped it for a short, higher rise with some different bars

My bike was in Volvo colours as yours but CAAD4 with the extra decals, a Volvo seat, Coda Tarantula cranks, Mavic Crossmax Disc and Coda brakes. Shifting was M750 XT.
