I have an issue with an x9 front shifter. It shifts from granny to middle fine, but seems to slip when pushing your for the outer ring.
It is fine without any cable tension, but as soon as there is some, 9 times out of 10 it slips.
I've taken it apart and nothing seems too wrong so a bit stumped.
The only thing I can see is that the metal spring for the downshift 'could' be sticking out a bit further than it should, possibly pushing against the sprung pin that engages the shift mechanism.
Anyone had and resolved this issue, its a tidy shifter aside from that.
I have a similar issue with a 10sp xo shifter on a bike, but it only happens 1 in 100 shifts so haven't had that apart to see if the same is true.
