specialized tyres on my rockhopper

i have dug out my specialized tyres for my rebuilt Rockhopper

had to use plenty of silicon spray to bring them back to life.

I've got a set of tan wall Control/Masters, but I've been holding off putting them on my specialized. Trying to avoid going down the path of "everything specialized". They do look proper on there, though , don't they?

I have had them since 1999. they never had much use.

they were on my sons GT Agressor for quite a few years but luckily he never got into bikes or doing skids either.

i couldnt resist putting them on there but now im worried about wearing them out

I won't be too concerned with that once mine get mounted somewhere. They'll be ridden. Unbelievably, I got my pair last year for about £12 and they've still got the little nibs from the mold. I shall try to avoid doing skids though!
