I wasn’t sure whether to ask this here or in the road section. But as I haven’t ridden anything with drops since I was 11, I’m more interested in how this feels to someone that is primarily used to riding mtb.

I’m thinking about doing the Dirty Reiver and this naturally led me to the idea of a new bike.

I’m not operating a strict one in, one out policy, but if it’s in the shed it needs to be ridden.

So, on that basis, I’m considering selling the Genesis Fortitude and replacing it with the Camino TI to act as a commute bike/ winter mtb (I like to ride home off-road where possible) and for some longer non-technical off-road events.

Thinking 650b, 1x11, and dynamo hub, powering exposure Revo or similar.

I’ve looked at the Pickenflick but it doesn’t have rack mounts and everything I’ve read suggests the Camino is a road(ish)bike for mtbers.

Apparently, the stack height is quite high, but I was thinking of using something like a Thomson 100x17 degree stem.

Anyone here got one of these or similar?
