I never figured I’d bag one of these 😳

Most owners hang onto them for understandable reasons as the Fat Chance Ti is one of the finest riding and most beautiful Ti MTB’s ever built.

I’ve been offered a few at bonkers money over the years but the timing was never right.

Looks like the timing came good 👍

Thanks to @Tomianson and @Star12 for making it happen.

Not sure I can really better what @Tomianson did with this but i’ll have a good crack at trying…

This is where it started.

@Tomianson went with quite a subtle build and pretty much a full XTR gruppo.

I plan to have a play with this and try a few options. I always fancied a Fat Ti with full turq bling, but I’m thinking it might look pretty good with black

I know folks say these are the 'finest riding MTBs' .. ect but do any of y'all actually ride these bikes?

I don't often see anything exotic in 'Today's Ride' thread

I remember Tomianson saying he was going to upload photos when he takes it out for a blast in the mud.. but never did, those rims look like they've never seen a brake block.. nr mind a muddied one 😁

You are right - those rims haven't ever seen a brake block - they are NOS. Just been waiting for the right build to put them on.
They're not the wheels I bought the bike with, guy who owned it definitely rode it though not very much I don't think.

Replaced the original seat collar and ti bolt with another original collar and matching Ringle - the one on there had had the paint stripped. Already looks cleaner with the black.
Still need to source a green seal for it though. IMG_9817.jpeg IMG_9822.jpeg IMG_9831.jpeg
