I stuck the black on cos they are rare as hen’s teeth
But the polished silver works pretty well?

I agree, those pads are a little too new looking. Some old Scott Mathauser would look better with alloy body vs. red pad, but the red could clash with the frame paint so perhaps best to stick with the original Suntour pads if you can track some down!

Need to see what depth the SM pads are versus the ones I have.
Seen these but they are also salmon

What a nice problem to have! Those black thumbies are rare beasts! Guess the default choice would be the polished/silver and this is what we’re used to seeing and kinda’ makes the black look a little odd, although they match the levers nicely!

I’d probably go silver, but it’s your build and both look pretty amazing. Awaiting for some smart arse to say mix it up and leave them as they are above!

Yeah, those are the ones I had in mind. The metal casing covers over the pad so the salmon/off-red is less in your face than what you currently have fitted. The Suntour ones would be a safer bet and perhaps more wallet friendly… perhaps?!

Sadly can’t help as I don’t have any to hand.

I wonder if you could post a Wanted advert regarding the dims? Don’t think there are any rules against this? Otherwise you’re relying on people seeing your above message on this thread which is less likely than a Wanted post…
