Sadly, I wasn't in a position to buy a bike like that in 1990. I was only a year into paying off my Access card and my 1989 Pine Mountain (still got it)
I picked this one up from the guy that bought it new in 1990

According to www.bankofengland.com that invoice would read £3956 in today's money, and the bag would be £8.25. I agree, I would have haggled for the bag.

Here's some pics of my Clark Kent F14.

Been built up for some time and it's a pleasure to ride, although it has been built towards road riding rather than off road as I've got a modern bike that'll be used for the muddy stuff.

Frame is from '94 and there are some nice Ti bits used in the build.
